STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College senior guard Logan Brown (Brunswick, Maine) continues to pile up honors after a standout week in GNAC play. One day after being named GNAC Player of the Week, Brown has also been selected as the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Player of the Week and to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) First Team of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the organizations.
Brown powered the Monks to a pair of conference victories last week, averaging 30.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 64.5% (20-of-31) from the floor and 63.0% (17-of-27) from three-point range in just 27 minutes per contest. She posted 27 points and five rebounds in Tuesday's win over Lasell, knocking down 7-of-13 attempts from deep, before delivering a historic performance Saturday at Dean. Brown set a Saint Joseph's single-game record with 10 made three-pointers and finished with a career-high 34 points in a 105-57 triumph.
Through 21 games this winter (all starts), Brown is averaging 13.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 35.8% (88-of-246) overall, 37.9% (69-of-182) from beyond the arc, and 67.5% (27-of-40) at the foul line. She leads the Monks in total points (272), field goals made (88) and attempted (246), and three-pointers made (69) and attempted (182), while ranking second on the roster in scoring average and steals (24).
As of February 10, Brown's 69 three-pointers made are the fifth-most in a single season in program history.
In 107 career games, Brown has totaled 735 points, 215 rebounds, 102 assists, and 61 steals while shooting 38.8% (174-of-449) from three-point range. She currently ranks fourth in program history in three-point percentage and seventh in three-pointers made.
Saint Joseph's returns to action Wednesday with a GNAC road matchup at Rivier University, set for 7:00 PM.
