NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) has announced the participants for the 2026 NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic, and Saint Joseph's College will be represented by a pair of standout guards in Logan Brown (Brunswick, Maine) and Elisabeth Stapelfeld (Brookline, N.H.).
The annual exhibition is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at Smith College, with tip-off set for 4:00 PM.
Stapelfeld earns the honor after a tremendous senior campaign in which she garnered First Team All-Conference and D3hoops.com Third Team All-Region recognition. She led the Monks in scoring average (14.6), total points (379), field goals made (133), field-goal percentage (43.6%), free throws made (83), free throws attempted (109), free-throw percentage (76.1%), assists per game (2.6), and total assists (68). Among the GNAC leaders, she ranked fourth in free throws made and free-throw percentage, fifth in scoring average and total points, and ninth in both field goals made and three-point percentage.
During the season, Stapelfeld also became the 28th member of Saint Joseph's 1,000-Point Club. With 1,218 career points, she finished 13th in program history and joined her sister, Cassandra Stapelfeld '22, as the only sibling duo featured on the program's 1,000-Point Club banner. Over 112 career games, including 105 starts, Stapelfeld averaged 10.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field, 32.5% from three-point range, and 75.0% from the free-throw line.
Brown was selected after turning in the best season of her career and emerging as one of the Monks' premier perimeter threats. A first-time All-Conference honoree, she started all 28 games and averaged 12.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 37.9% from the floor, 39.1% (90-230) from three-point range, and 71.2% at the line.
Her long-range shooting was among the best in program history, as her single-season totals for three-pointers made and attempted both ranked second all-time at Saint Joseph's. Over 114 career games, Brown averaged 7.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 38.5% from the field and 39.2% from beyond the arc. She concluded her career with 195 three-pointers, the third-highest total in program history, while her 497 attempts rank sixth all-time.
With the selections of Brown and Stapelfeld, Saint Joseph's has now produced 10 NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic participants since 2010. They join Carolyn Freeman '10, Ashley Geel '12, Abby Young '14, Morgan Cahill '16, Kelsi McNamara '19, Emily Benway '19, Julia Champagne '19, Angelica Hurley '24, and now Brown and Stapelfeld on the program's distinguished list.
Brown and Stapelfeld were two of four GNAC players chosen for this year's game, alongside Laura Jounsen of Lasell and Madi Zancan of Regis.
Led by first-year head coach Chris Woodside, Saint Joseph's finished the 2025-26 campaign with a 17-11 overall record and a 10-2 mark in GNAC play to secure the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. The Monks carried an eight-game winning streak into postseason play and extended it with tournament victories over Norwich and Albertus Magnus before falling to Emmanuel in the GNAC Championship game on March 1.
