STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released, and Saint Joseph's College sophomore outfielder Jake Carlisle (Portsmouth, N.H.) has been named GNAC Baseball Player of the Week. The weekly conference honor is the first of his collegiate career.

Carlisle opened the 2026 season by going 6-for-9 (.667) with one run scored and two RBI in a doubleheader sweep at Bowdoin College on Saturday. The sophomore outfielder went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the opener and capped the day by going 4-for-5 with a run and an RBI in the nightcap.

Last spring, Carlisle hit .309 (38-for-123) with 22 runs, eight doubles, four home runs, 31 RBI, and three stolen bases while posting a .472 slugging percentage and a .387 on-base percentage. He finished the year ranked second on the team in home runs, doubles, and RBI, and third in batting average and slugging percentage.

The Monks return to action on Saturday, March 7, when they open a 12-game slate in Winter Haven, Florida, with a doubleheader against Suffolk University. Game one is scheduled for a 3:45 PM first pitch.
