STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College senior Chantelle Bouchard (Biddeford, Maine) has been named the GNAC Softball Player of the Week.
Bouchard collects the fourth GNAC weekly honor of her career after batting .600 (9-for-15) with five runs, two doubles, one home run, and four RBI in a 2-2 week for the Monks. She went a perfect 4-for-4 with a run scored and a double against Bates on Wednesday before turning in a 3-for-4 performance with three runs, a double, and two RBI in the opener of Saturday's doubleheader at New England College. In the nightcap, Bouchard belted a two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to help lift Saint Joseph's to a 7-6 victory and a GNAC sweep of the Pilgrims.
Through 31 games this spring, Bouchard is batting .372 (35-for-94) with 24 runs, nine doubles, two triples, four home runs, and 31 RBI. She currently ranks among the conference leaders in home runs (third), RBI (third), total bases (fourth), and slugging percentage (.638, fourth).
Bouchard previously earned GNAC weekly honors on March 17, 2024, April 28, 2024, and April 20, 2025.
Saint Joseph's (16-18, 9-5 GNAC) returns to action on Friday when the Monks host Rivier University in a GNAC doubleheader beginning at 3:00 PM.
