WINTHROP, Mass. – Saint Joseph's College (Maine) wrapped up an impressive regular season with a 9-1 conference record, earning the No. 2 seed in the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Field Hockey Tournament.

Led by second-year Head Coach Theresa Arsenault '14, the Monks capped their GNAC slate with a 1-0 victory over New England College on Saturday, October 25, matching Dean College atop the standings. Both teams finished 9-1, but Dean claimed the regular-season title and No. 1 seed by virtue of a head-to-head win over SJC earlier this fall.

The Monks, winners of four of their last five contests, now turn their focus to the postseason, where they will host No. 7 Simmons University (5-5 GNAC) in the quarterfinals on Saturday, November 1 at 11:00 AM.

Elsewhere in the bracket, Dean rides a seven-game winning streak into its quarterfinal against No. 8 Rivier (3-7 GNAC). No. 3 Colby-Sawyer (8-2 GNAC) will take on sixth-seeded University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (5-5 GNAC), who holds the tiebreaker edge over Simmons. Rounding out the quarterfinal slate, No. 4 New England College (7-3 GNAC) faces No. 5 Lasell (6-4 GNAC) in a rematch of last year's double-overtime thriller.

The GNAC Quarterfinals are set for Saturday, November 1. Winners will advance to the Semifinals on Wednesday, November 5, with the Championship scheduled for Saturday, November 8. The 2025 GNAC Champion will secure the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.
