STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its weekly awards, and Saint Joseph's College junior outside hitter Greta Mackintosh (Plymouth, Mass.) has been named GNAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.
Mackintosh powered the Monks to a 3–0 week, totaling 32 kills with only seven errors on 55 swings for a .455 hitting percentage, plus 13 digs and five block assists across three straight-set wins. She shined at Saturday's tri-match at New England College, averaging 4.00 kills per set with a .583 attack clip in 3–0 victories over the Pilgrims and Albertus Magnus.
Through 13 matches (39 sets) this fall, Mackintosh owns 98 kills (2.51/set), a .244 hitting percentage, 45 digs, and 12 block assists. She leads the team in kills, total attempts (254), and hitting percentage.
The honor is the first GNAC weekly award of Mackintosh's career; she was also on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on September 1. She is the program's first GNAC Player of the Week since teammate Victoria Briones (El Paso, Texas) on November 6, 2023, and just the fifth Monk to receive the award, joining Monique Lajoie, Sarah Hawkes, Felicia Wachowiak, and Briones.
Saint Joseph's hosts the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday at 6:00 PM.
