WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced, and Saint Joseph's College freshman Chloe Masse (Oakland, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.
Masse recorded a hat trick and an assist at Elms College on Saturday, contributing to four of the Monks' eight goals. She opened the scoring in the sixth minute and assisted on a goal by Emma Lyons (Mirror Lake, N.H.) late in the second quarter. Less than a minute later, Masse added another goal to cap her first-half performance. She completed the hat trick early in the fourth quarter off an assist from Ava Markham (Belfast, Maine).
Through nine games this fall, Masse ranks second on the team in points (11) and is tied for second in goals (4) and assists (3). The honor marks her first career GNAC weekly award and the program's first Rookie of the Week selection since Markham earned the accolade on October 6, 2025.
The Monks return to action on Wednesday, October 7, when they host reigning GNAC champion Dean College at 6:00 PM.
