STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College senior guard Logan Brown (Brunswick, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Brown claims the weekly accolade after powering the Monks to a pair of conference victories last week, averaging 30.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 64.5% (20-of-31) from the field and 63.0% (17-of-27) from three-point range in just 27 minutes a night. The senior guard tallied 27 points with five rebounds and went 7-of-13 from deep in Tuesday's win over Lasell, then authored a historic performance Saturday at Dean—setting a Saint Joseph's single-game record with 10 made three-pointers while finishing with a career-high 34 points in a 105-57 triumph.
Through 21 games (all starts) this winter, Brown is averaging 13.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 35.8% (88-of-246) from the floor, 37.9% (69-of-182) from three-point range, and 67.5% (27-of-40) at the free-throw line. She leads the Monks in total points (272), field goals made (88) and attempted (246), and three-pointers made (69) and attempted (182), while ranking second on the roster in scoring average and steals (24).
Saint Joseph's will play at Rivier University on Wednesday in a conference clash set to start at 7:00 PM.
