Five Monks Receive 2026 National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American Athlete Awards

Colorado Springs, CO – The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is proud to announce that five Saint Joseph's College of Maine student-athletes have been recognized as 2026 National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American Athlete Award recipients.

Senior baseball standouts Mike Richards and Padraig Mac Seain, senior women's soccer forward Eliese Perron, senior field hockey and softball student-athlete Sadie Tirrell, and senior men's track & field sprinter Noah Batoosingh earned the national recognition for their athletic accomplishments and dedication to strength and conditioning.

The NSCA All-American Athlete Award recognizes student-athletes for their athletic accomplishments and commitment to strength and conditioning. The five Monks were nominated by Saint Joseph's College Strength and Conditioning Coach Jameson Collins.

"We are proud to have Coach Collins join the NSCA in its mission to safely improve athletic performance," said Eric McMahon, NSCA's Coaching and Sport Science Program Manager. "Supporting our student-athletes guarantees a stronger future for the NSCA."

Mike Richards – Baseball

Richards, a senior catcher and team captain, has been an outstanding contributor to the Saint Joseph's strength and conditioning program and the baseball team throughout his career.

"Mike has been an outstanding contributor to our strength and conditioning program and our baseball team during his career at Saint Joseph's," said Collins. "As a captain, he brings leadership, accountability, and a high standard of effort to every session. Pound for pound, Mike is one of the strongest athletes on our team, demonstrating impressive strength relative to his body weight and setting the tone in the weight room."

Richards also served as an intern within the department, bringing positive energy and enthusiasm each day.

"His leadership, strength, and commitment to serving others make him an excellent recipient of this award," Collins added.

Padraig Mac Seain – Baseball

Mac Seain, a senior pitcher and team captain, has been a steady and disciplined presence in the strength and conditioning program during his time at Saint Joseph's.

"Padraig has been a steady and disciplined presence in our strength and conditioning program throughout his time at Saint Joseph's," said Collins. "As a captain of our baseball team, he leads by example with his work ethic and commitment to constant improvement."

Mac Seain approaches every lift, conditioning session, and recovery day with purpose, consistently pushing himself while challenging his teammates to do the same. His discipline in the weight room has translated directly to his success on the mound, where he has earned All-Conference recognition.

"Padraig's consistency, leadership, and relentless drive to improve make him a very deserving recipient of this award," Collins said.

Eliese Perron – Women's Soccer

Perron, a senior forward, has been a cornerstone of the women's soccer program and the Monks' strength and conditioning culture.

"Eliese has been a cornerstone of our women's soccer program and our strength and conditioning culture during her time at Saint Joseph's," said Collins. "She is deeply committed to her fitness and consistently sets the standard in conditioning sessions and offseason training."

Perron leads by example each day, demonstrating discipline, effort, and a competitive mindset that elevates those around her. Her dedication to preparation and performance has made a significant impact on her teammates and the overall culture of the program.

"Eliese's leadership and commitment to excellence make her a very deserving recipient of this award," Collins added.

Sadie Tirrell – Field Hockey / Softball

Tirrell, a senior two-sport athlete and team captain, has been one of the top leaders and competitors in the Saint Joseph's strength and conditioning program.

"Sadie exemplifies what it means to be an NSCA All-American," said Collins. "A two-sport athlete and team captain, she brings tremendous effort and intensity to every strength and conditioning session."

Tirrell's strength and overall fitness levels are among the best Collins has coached, and she consistently demonstrates a high level of discipline both in team sessions and in her individual training. Her commitment to excellence has translated directly to competition, where she earned All-Conference recognition in both field hockey and softball.

"Her leadership, work ethic, and dedication to continual improvement make her a truly outstanding recipient of this award," Collins said.

Noah Batoosingh – Men's Track & Field

Batoosingh, a senior sprinter, has been a model of consistency in his approach to training throughout his time at Saint Joseph's.

"Noah has been a model of consistency in his approach to training throughout his time at Saint Joseph's," said Collins. "As a sprinter, his commitment to detail, effort, and daily discipline has allowed him to continually progress in both strength and performance."

Batoosingh brings a positive attitude into every training session and is always willing to support and encourage his teammates. Whether facing a challenging lift or a demanding conditioning session, he approaches each opportunity with focus and determination.

"His reliability, work ethic, and team-first mindset make him a deserving recipient of this award," Collins added.
