STANDISH, Maine – The 2026 D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region teams have been announced and a pair of Saint Joseph's College standouts have earned honors.
Sophomore Nic Frink (Scarborough, Maine/Thornton Academy) has earned ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region 1 honors as a utility player and D3baseball.com Second Team All-Region 1 recognition as a catcher while senior pitcher Padraig Mac Seain (Brookline, N.H.) collected D3baseball.com Second Team All-Region 1 accolades.
Frink takes home multiple All-Region awards for the second consecutive season after hitting .382 (66-173) with 46 runs, nine doubles, 11 home runs, 49 RBI, and eight stolen bases during his sophomore campaign. The senior left-hander did not allow a run through 25.2 consecutive innings before suffering a season-ending injury in late March and ranked nationally among the leaders in ERA, complete games, hits allowed per nine innings, and WHIP at the time of his injury. Mac Seain established new SJC single-season records for ERA and opponents' batting average (.157) in 2026.
Over four seasons, Mac Seain posted a 12-5 record with a 3.29 ERA, 134 strikeouts, 42 walks, and a .257 opponents' batting average in 134 innings pitched. He concluded his collegiate career ranked seventh in program history in WHIP (1.21), 11th in K/9 (9.19), and 12th in fewest BB/9 (2.41).
Under the watch of co-head coaches Will Sanborn and Lincoln Sanborn, the Monks posted a 34-13 overall record and a 14-6 mark in conference play. Saint Joseph's secured the No. 3 seed in the GNAC Tournament and advanced to the championship series after posting a 4-1 record in pod play, including three consecutive elimination-game victories.
The Monks opened postseason play with a 12-2 win over Norwich, fell to Lasell, and then rebounded with victories over Norwich (8-0) and Lasell (17-5, 6-3) to claim the Pod B title.
