Led by Head Coach Jim Graffam, 1986 baseball team posted a 34-10 (.773) record en route to capturing the program’s first NAIA New England Championship and, along the way, won 22 consecutive games, a streak that remains as the team’s longest at the time of induction

The 1986 win total ranked as the program record for 24 years while the Monks’ team’s totals in walks (243) and stolen bases (140) that spring remain as program records

Nine team members claimed postseason honors, including Arlo Pike and Kevin Fitzgerald, who both earned NAIA All-America Honorable Mention, NAIA All-Area 8, and NAIA All-District 5 awards, and Graffam, who garnered District 5 and Area 8 Coach of the Year accolades
