In 19 years as the leader of the SJC field hockey team, Rupert Lewis amassed a 224-119 (.653) career record and is far and away the program’s all-time leader in wins and winning percentage

Lewis led the Monks to four-consecutive GNAC Championships (2016-19) and the team’s first-ever NCAA Tournament triumph, an upset 1-0 victory at #10 Montclair State on November 9th, 2016

Coach Lewis guided his program to a 25-game regular-season winning streak versus GNAC opponents spanning the 2017-21 seasons and was named as the GNAC Coach of the Year five times in 10 seasons, an era during which Saint Joseph’s posted an incredible 60-14 (.811) in-conference record

Lewis also skippered the SJC women’s lacrosse team for seven seasons (2008 & 2009, 2015 - 2019) with a 77-38 (.670) record and the program’s first GNAC Championship – and subsequent NCAA Tournament appearance – in 2015
