One of the top runners in Saint Joseph’s College cross country history, Garcia registered five individual victories with 15 top-10 finishes while placing as the team’s top runner in 13 events during his illustrious career

Helped lead the Monks to an astounding 103-8 regular season record and four-consecutive NCAA DIII National Championship appearances

As a sophomore, missed NCAA All-America status by just one second and one place with a 26th-place finish in the National Championship

The three-time team MVP earned All-Maine accolades in 1984 and 1985 and won the prestigious Cod Fish Bowl in Boston his senior year, topping a 240-runner field with a 25:31 effort in the five-mile race
