An outstanding swing player for the SJC men’s basketball program, O’Brien was a four-year starter for the Monks
In 106 career games, he scored 1,533 points with 497 rebounds, 365 assists, and 109 steals and – at the time of his induction - ranked seventh in team history in field goals made (585), field goals attempted (1277), and free throw percentage (78.5%), ninth in points, and 11th in assists
O’Brien was a three-time All-Conference honoree who claimed a pair of All-State honors and garnered 2009 Maine All-Rookie Team and 2012 GNAC All-Tournament Team accolades
O’Brien helped Saint Joseph’s post a 78-32 (.709) overall record, including a 54-18 (.750) mark in GNAC action, and was a key player for the Monks’ 2009 GNAC Championship team
